Sisqó - “The Thong Song”

If anything is representative of pop music during the late-’90s/early’00s, it’s this song. Because this is exactly the kind of completely ridiculous shit that so popular back then and — correct me if I’m wrong — but really only back then.

I like to think that a song called “The Thong Song” wouldn’t blow up into a megahit in today’s world. But I’m probably wrong.

All that said, this track is a masterpiece. A true piece of art from a musical genius — the Bob Dylan of our generation… Wait, no. I got that wrong. The Sir Mix-A-Lot of our generation. Yeah, that’s more like it ;P

And don’t even pretend that you don’t know the words. We all know you do.
