Britney Spears - “Don’t Let Me Be the Last to Know”

Little known fact: I used to hate Britney. And this video is one of the main reasons. All that bare skin and cavorting around with a half-naked model totally made me think she was a whore.

Not sure why that was such an issue for me, but it was. Good thing I’m over it and can finally admit my undying love for Lady B, because this video is fantastic. Eye candy all around :)

Britney Spears - “…Baby One More Time” (Live at the 1999 MTV VMAs)

Here’s my final post in hopeful anticipation of Britney hopefully performing (I hope) at this years VMAs, and this week it’s her very first appearance on the award show.

Part lip-synched, part-live, but completely awesome — not to mention very 2000s. Seriously, she’s sharing her stage time with *NSync. So funny.

I would absolutely love it if Britney performed at this year’s VMAs and, in celebration of 10 years on the show, began her performance with the same classroom scene. That’s be awesome. Right? Right. :)

It took me *forever* to find an mp3 of this, but here it is, finally, in all its amazing glory (even though it’s probably just an audio rip from the DVD).

This performance was phenomenal. When Britney stepped underneath that waterfall and gyrated her way through this song… Wow.

Britney Spears - “Womanizer” (Promo Tour Version)

It’s Friday again, and that means it’s time for some more Britney-ness. Since I’m still hopeful that she’ll be performing at this year’s VMAs, today is all about Britney live.

This track is the remix of “Womanizer” that Britney used on her mini promo tour before her latest album came out, starting with the Bambi Awards and ending with “Good Morning America.”

I love it because it’s circus-y and dance-y and just overall amazing.

Britney Spears - “Oops! I Did It Again,” live at the 2000 VMAs

Oh, Britney… You always know how to surprise us, don’t you? I mean, who saw this coming? She really made an impact with this VMA performance, and set the bar really high for all of her performances to come.

I’m not even going to try to explain why it’s so amazing — watch it for yourself :)

My favorite part is totally the “Ooh, I did it again” at the very end. Love it!

Britney Spears - “I’m a Slave 4 U (Circus Tour Mix)”

Today’s Britney Friday is all about Britney live (in *hopeful* anticipation of a surprise performance at the upcoming VMAs).

Here we have an awesome lil remix of “I’m a Slave 4 U” for Britney’s “The Circus: Starring Britney Spears” tour. It’s a very much more subdued mix than the version on the album, but it’s no less awesome. And you’ve gotta love all the dramatic background music and heavy breathing, right?
