The sad thing is, the humor and irony in the video were probably lost on most people. While it looks like Jewel has sold out and given in to the image people expect of a pop star, that’s really not the case.

She’s completely parodying commercialism and modern music videos. It’s a spot-on send-up, and I love it, despite the fact that many people might say it’s her worst work to date.
