I don’t even know what to say about this video. It has Ali G in it, which is interesting, because at the time I had no idea who he even was. Now I know, so I feel like I can appreciate the video’s humor a little more.
But WTF is up with that weird cartoon interlude? I see now where Britney Spears got the idea to animate a couple of her videos, but Cartoon Madonna is ugly, and it doesn’t make sense to randomly throw it into the middle of the video like that. But that’s just me.
Also: Did they exaggerate the gap in her teeth to make her look more ridiculous? Or is it just more noticeable here? Either way, I love it. She’s so gangsta — and dykey — in this video. If I were a stripper, I’d want Madonna to come to the strip club I danced at. Too bad I don’t have titties for her to throw dollar bills at…
I still don’t understand why Madonna felt it was necessary to cover this song — the original is a classic that stands fine on its own — but I know I love it, regardless of how retarded it is. I think we can all admit that it’s completely unnecessary, right? And we can all admit that her version is horrible?
But don’t worry — we’re all fans of awesomely bad pop music here, so of course we can disregard all of that and embrace our love for Madonna’s version of “American Pie.”
Now sing along with me: “Bye bye, Miss American Pie. Drove my Chevy to the levy…”
♥ | 42 playsYou know what’s really sad? Until Kelly released this song when I was in high school, I’d never heard Madonna’s original version of “Papa Don’t Preach.”
But whatever. I’ve over it. I don’t care because I totally love Kelly’s version. It’s much more exciting and punk-rock than Madonna’s version, so if someone put a gun to my head and told me to choose, I just might pick Kelly over Madonna (Yeah, I just said that. Go ahead and hate).
I’ve always felt like Kelly Osbourne was a little underrated, so I’m glad she’s back in the spotlight now with at sting on “Dancing With the Stars.”

Madonna’s latest video is terrible for a number of reasons.
Madonna - “Lucky Star”
Come on… Any song that references “Star Light, Star Bright” automatically deserves a spot on this list.
Simple as that.

This song was pretty much a major flop when it came out. I totally understand that, but I love it anyway. It’s such a delicious little turd.
Am I the only one who loves the part in the middle where Madonna “raps” about soy lattes, yoga and rooms full of hotties? It’s fucking ridiculous and I love every second of it. Not gonna lie about that.
Plus: It’s even more hilarious that Madge is singing about living the “American dream” because, if I’m not mistaken, this came out after she moved to England. Hm. Right…
